2020 Buyer’s Guide to COVID-19 Auditing Tools

Check out this list of COVID-19 auditing tools that will help restaurants navigate requirements. With Coronavirus still causing chaos across the food service industry, other support services are stepping up to help restaurants survive. Some tech companies are enhancing their current platforms to provide modules and programs to help operators manage COVID-19 guidelines and protocols.

Even though these tools may not lead to increased sales and revenue, they can help operators manage the extra precautions they need to take and help with transparency and communication with the public. Establishments need to take measures to protect their employees and customers, as well as get the message out about what they are doing to accomplish this.

Let’s See Who Is Helping from the Tech Industry with COVID-19 Auditing Tools

Rizepoint

Rizepoint is offering a COVID-19 resource page and auditor software with specific sections for COVID-19 compliance that manage cleaning, sanitation, and safety protocols. The tools can educate employees and capture and document the protocols. “Our program helps operators quickly gather coronavirus-related information about customers and employees in COVID-19 impacted areas,” says Dean Wiltse, CEO of Rizepoint. “We believe taking a proactive approach is always the best.” Rizepoint is offering unlimited, free use of their mobile audit tools, forms, and reports for rapid response to the COVID-19 outbreak until March 18, 2021.

Freshability

Freshability is providing tools to help food operations with transparency and communication. “There’s still plenty of concern with this pandemic that people who handle their food could be infected. Proper washing of hands and done frequently is what they need to convey to consumers. After all, consumers want to support them,” says Erik Manning, VP of Business Development. Freshability’s platform allows establishments to collect data on how often these sanitation and personal hygiene actions are taking place. This data can in turn be shared and communicated with the public. Freshability is offering their services free of charge for the next three months.

Zenput

Zenput’s program is providing COVID-19 specific checklists, task assignments and alerts, and compliance tracking. Operators will be able to build-out, communicate, and ensure compliance with their COVID-19 processes. They are offering multi-unit operators free use of their platform until June 30, 2020.

ComplianceMate

ComplianceMate has a downloadable toolkit called C19 that includes helpful information, resources, and checklists. ComplianceMate C19 can assist operators in proactively controlling requirements and best practices for COVID-19 safety. “Foodservice is our family, and we have to offer a way for our family to keep safe in these challenging times,” says Steven Getraer, President of ComplianceMate. The C19 app is currently available as a free download.

Buyer’s Guide: What to Keep in Mind

COVID-19 will be with us for a while. Food operations need to continue to adjust to the rapidly changing environment as more information is revealed about the virus. Having a digital program in place to manage protocols and stay ahead of these changes is critical. If you subscribe to a program, make sure it has adequate data capture to allow you to effectively communicate to your employees and customers what is being done to keep them safe. We will continue to add to this list as we learn more. Let us know if have any to recommend, too. We also have free resources from our sister site, Respro Food Safety, listed below to help you through COVID-19.
